The Manifold Brief
Security Operations Intelligence
Est. 2026

Written by practitioners,
for practitioners

The Manifold Brief covers the operational realities of security operations — the tooling, the reporting workflows, the metrics that matter, and the ones that don't. We write from direct experience inside SOCs and MSSPs, not from the outside looking in.

John has spent the better part of a decade working across security operations, cyber managed services, and enterprise security leadership. He currently leads security initiatives at a global Fortune 100 organization, covering operational security, risk management, and large-scale security program execution. Prior to that, he worked in Deloitte's Cyber Managed Services practice, where he focused on SOC operations, incident response workflows, and enterprise security reporting. His background spans cloud security, governance, and operational resilience, with a particular focus on how large organizations scale security programs without losing operational clarity.

Why we write

We've all spent time inside the reporting workflows that most MSSPs rely on today.

The Manifold Brief exists because we think the security operations space deserves more honest, practitioner-level analysis — not vendor content dressed up as thought leadership, not conference-circuit talking points, but clear writing about how these environments actually work and what it would take to make them better.

We write about KPIs, tooling, automation, and the operational realities of running a SOC. If you work in security operations and want to be interviewed for the publication, or if something we've written resonates with your experience, we'd like to hear from you.
